What is the difference between open and enclosed auto transport?
Open transport is the most common option and is suitable for most everyday vehicles. Enclosed transport provides additional protection from weather and road debris and is often chosen for classic, exotic, luxury, and specialty vehicles.
How much does auto transport cost?
Pricing varies based on distance, vehicle size and condition, route, transport type, fuel costs, season, and current carrier availability.
How long does vehicle transport take?
Pickup and delivery dates are estimates and transit time depends on distance, route, weather, traffic, and carrier schedules. Most shipments take approximately 3–7 business days, while coast-to-coast transport may take 7–10 days.
How does the transport process work?
It’s simple: request a quote, book your transport, and we coordinate an independent carrier for pickup and delivery. Your vehicle is inspected at pickup and again at delivery.
How do I pay for transport?
A deposit is due at booking, with the remaining balance typically paid directly to the carrier at delivery. Available payment methods are provided with your transport details.
Can I ship personal items in my vehicle?
Up to 100 lbs. of personal belongings may be permitted below window level, subject to carrier approval. Personal items are transported at the owner's risk, and restrictions may apply.
Is my vehicle insured during transport?
Independent carriers are required to maintain cargo insurance. Coverage, limits, deductibles, and exclusions vary by carrier and policy.
What does “First Available Pickup Date” mean?
This is the first date your vehicle is available for pickup, not necessarily the guaranteed pickup date. Your confirmed pickup information is provided once a carrier is assigned.
What is door-to-door transport?
The carrier picks up and delivers as close to your requested locations as safely and legally possible. If access is restricted, a nearby meeting location may be necessary.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance when possible. Booking early allows more time to coordinate carrier availability, while expedited options may be available for time-sensitive shipments.
What is a Bill of Lading?
The Bill of Lading (BOL) documents your vehicle’s condition at pickup and delivery. Review it carefully and note any damage before signing at delivery.
